Missional communities

What are MC's?

our missional communities (or MC's as we like to call them) are mid-sized groups ranging from 5-15 people, and are one of the main ways we engage in spreading the good news. we've noticed that in the new testament, people are rarely on mission alone. jesus had 12 disciples and paul (who is considered one of the greatest missionaries) traveled with a large group of people. as jesus said, "by this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." -John 13:35

OUr missional communities meet together, do life together, and pray together. but there's also an extra element of actively engaging and building relationships with those who don't yet know jesus. For instance, we have mc's that are trying to reach young adults, families with young children and also refugees. those are very different groups of people, but the fundamentals centered on building relationships and long-term investments are the same. this is what separates mc's from both service projects and other small group models.

acts 2:46-47 says, "they worshiped in the temple each day, met in homes for the lord's supper and shared meals with great joy and generosity -- all while praising god and enjoying the goodwill of the people. and each day the lord added to their number those who were being saved."

this is where we believe change in our communities happens. the day in, day out living is where we can really show god's love.

below is a video about Mc's. followed by the communities from mission point

an extended family living the good news.

our mission: Develop relationships in the community and have fun doing it.

our current connection: to stand with a local elementary school as they work to educate and develop a diverse group of kids.

we meet twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th sundays. one is a sharing opportunity for adults, the other is a family activity designed to develop our ability to actively love our neighbors and live like the gospel is good news. we additionally serve the school in various ways.

Meet at the well

Our MC is geared towards young adults, so if you consider yourself in that category, we'd love for you to join us!

Since our mission centers on our peers, our MC does activities that are easy to invite your friends to.

We meet every Friday evening starting at 6:30pm, but locations tend to vary. Be sure to email us to find out where we are going to be next. We hope to see you there!
